Thu, 27 Mar 2014 As part of its efforts to onboard new staff, Center Parcs has delivered more than 70,000 hours of training to newly recruited staff at its soon-to-be-opened Woburn Forest Village facility in Bedfordshire.

A further 14,000 hours of training will be delivered between now and the opening later this spring.

Over 1,100 people have been offered roles at Center Parcs Woburn Forest. Each new starter will receive at least 10 days training in total, which includes Center Parcs’ Welcome Workshop. This workshop will introduce the company ethos, values, history and brand to each new recruit.

As recruiter.co.uk reported in February, Center Parks received more than 11,000 applications for the 1,500 jobs on offer at Woburn Forest, the company’s fifth Village in the UK.

Tracy Walker, training and development manager for Center Parcs UK, says: “When recruiting, we look for people who are naturally caring, positive and helpful and then through training we provide them with the skills and confidence to give our guests a truly exceptional experience. Many of our people at existing Villages have been with us for many years, which is a testament to how well we look after our teams and invest in their future.”
