Healthcare is “the standout sector” in this year’s Recruiter FAST 50, says Tim Evans, managing director of Boxington Corporate Finance, compilers of the definitive list of the fastest-growing private staffing companies in the UK, which is sponsored by ICS.

Healthcare sector companies doubled their representation, from 6% in 2013 to 12% this year. Two of the top three ranked recruitment companies operate within the healthcare sector, including the company heading this year’s FAST 50, Interact Medical.

Healthcare recruitment companies in the FAST 50 2014:

1. Interact Medical
2. ID Medical
3. Castlerock Recruitment
4. Global Medics
5. Newcross Nursing Group
6. Nurse Plus & Carer Plus

Mark Kingston, assistant director at Boxington, explains that the success of healthcare companies in this year’s list is due to a combination of greater use of temporary staff in the NHS, and a reduction in the number of suppliers as the NHS increasingly moves towards framework agreements.
