Executive recruiter Heidrick & Struggles has acquired Australia-based financial services search firm Scambler MacGregor.

Steve Mullinjer, Heidrick’s regional leader of Asia-Pacific and Middle East, says that since the firm launched its financial services practice in 1989, Australia has been one of its largest markets globally.

This sees principals David Scambler and Craig Williams remain with the company, based in Sydney alongside three support staff.

Scambler established the firm in 2005, with Williams joining the year after, both having previously worked for search firm Hamilton James & Bruce.
