Stream
The US company held the official opening ceremony of its new contact centre in Belfast at the end of last week.

Stream says it is currently recruiting to fill 400 positions at the call centre in the near term, with the remaining having already been filled.

The company’s chair and chief executive officer Kathy Marinello describes the premises as “a beautiful facility in an amazing location with advanced technology”, which she says “will attract exceptional people – individuals who want to build careers with a global enterprise while representing great companies”.

According to the BBC, the move is supported by over £3m of government grants through investment agency Invest NI.

Teleperformance
The Paris-based firm is to hire more workers at each of its existing four Scottish locations in Glasgow, Kilmarnock, Airdrie and Erskine, reports the news website of Scottish TV channel STV.

The new roles are split between 621 full-time roles in Glasgow, with 379 posts coming across the three other sites.

STV says positions include customer service advisors, team managers, trainers, and a mixture of full and part-time jobs.

The news means the firm will employ a total workforce in Scotland of around 4,000.
