An a&dc survey of staff development experts found that 62% viewed resilience as an integral part of candidate assessment and staff development.
Ali Shalfrooshan, senior consultant, product development at a&dc, says: “It is highly encouraging to note that organisations really do perceive it [resilience] as a valuable trait. As we continue to operate in a volatile, uncertain, complex and ambiguous environment, having a workforce that is able to adapt well to change is a business imperative.”
Shalfrooshan adds it is important to assess candidates’ resilience during the recruitment process.
