Wed, 28 Aug 2013Specialist recruiter Antal Russia today opens its third office, in Kazakhstan’s capital city Astana, saying it has a particular eye on recruitment demand in the production and mining industries.

Antal Russia, which was bought by recruitment group FiveTen in 2008 from Antal International, already has existing offices in Moscow and the Kazakh commercial centre and biggest city, Almaty. The company first opened the Almaty office in 2010, and now has 16 consultants working in the market.

John Rose, the global chief executive officer of FiveTen Group, comments: “The demand for highly qualified specialists and managers in Astana is now high since it became the capital in 1997 – previously business activity was negligible. Real GDP growth is forecast at 6.4% this year, which is representative of a market we are excited to be in.”

Welcoming the new opening, Alexey Tretyakov, managing director of formwork and scaffolding technology firm PERI Kazakhstan, sayss: “A lack of highly qualified candidates in Astana creates a lot of problems for employers.

“Sometimes companies have to relocate candidates from Almaty, where there is a bigger supply of professionals. Additionally, there are few professional recruiters who provide a high level of service in Astana.”
