Tue, 23 Jul 2013Singapore’s Ministry of Manpower (MOM) is seeking public views as it embarks on the second phase of reviews of its Employment Act and Employment Foreign Manpower Act (EFMA).
These reviews cover the protection for workers under non-traditional work arrangements whilst maintaining business flexibilities, an MOM statement says.
They also aim to provide additional protection for vulnerable low-wage workers and address circumstances that could allow for foreign workers to change employers.
MOM encourages the participation of key stakeholders and the opinions of the general public, with full details available via the ministry's website.
