Mon, 17 Jun 2013Digital interview platform HireVue has laid out ambitious plans to substantially increase its workforce based out of Salt Lake County, Utah, with help from a state development agreement.

The company has had a $1.5m (£0.95m) Economic Development Tax Increment Finance tax credit approved by the Governors’ Office of Economic Development of Utah, which it can earn over the next seven years, during which is expects to create 540 new “high-paying jobs”.

The company says all roles will pay at least 125% of the county’s average annual wage including benefits, with the 540 new staff seeing the company grow significantly from its current 100-strong workforce.

Governor Gary R Herbert says: “With HireVue and other software companies expanding in the state, we continue to hear the term 'Silicon Slopes' - referring to the rapid growth of Utah's IT industry at the base of our world-renowned mountains.”
