Protocol Education, winners of the Best Temporary Recruitment Agency at last week’s Recruiter Awards for Excellence 2013, sponsored by Eploy, saw profits growth of 70% in 2012.

Profits for the 12 months to 30 November 2012 were £6.15m, up from £3.62m in 2011, as sales grew by just over 50% to £66.7m. In this period the company’s staff grew only marginally, from 181 to 187 people.

In its financial statement, posted to Companies House, the company says it “expects demand for its service to continue, particularly in major urban conurbations”. The primary school teaching market is set to grow, with the number of primary school age children ready to enter education between now and 2015 on the increase.

Elsewhere, Q1 financial results available online from major executive search firms CTPartners and Heidrick & Struggles International attested to strength in the life sciences markets, which buoyed both firms. Consumer and technology markets also declined at both, with revenue declines across the board resulting in both cases.
