Brixton, London-based recruitment and training firm Step Ahead has supplied a team of 96 guest ambassadors to View, the public gallery at new London landmark The Shard, which opened on 1 February.

All the staff, which includes 20 apprentices, are aged between 16 and 23, and come from the neighbouring boroughs of Lambeth and Southwark.

Step Ahead worked with Jobcentre Plus to select the recruits from previously unemployed local residents.
