Executive search and recruitment firm Harvey Nash is working alongside the Faculty of Business and Economics at the University of Hong Kong to launch a board preparedness programme for women.

The inaugural programme will be held in April and June this year, with involvement from captains of industry including Sir Martin Sorrell, chief executive officer of advertising and marketing group WPP; Teresa Ko, chair (China) of law firm Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer; and Umran Beba, APAC regional president of PepsiCo.

Professor Amy H Lau, director of executive education at the Faculty of Business and Economics, comments: “We recognise there is no ‘one size fits all’ solution when it comes to addressing the lack of women in leadership positions across the world and there is no magic strategy for a woman to reach the top in her career.”
