FINANCIALS: SThree growth but profit drops

Specialist staffing firm SThree has seen revenue and gross profit grow by 6.5% and 5% respectively year-on-year in the 12 months to 25 November 2012, although profit before taxation dropped by 16.6%.

Revenue stood at £577.5m for the company, with gross profit reaching £205.3m, and the firm’s reduced profit was still a substantial £25.3m.

Non-ICT disciplines now represent 46% of the firm’s business, up from 40% in the previous year, while contract-permanent mix stood at 50:50, with chief executive officer Gary Elden noting that the “benefits of the Group's balance of contract and permanent business, and the success of its geographic and sector diversification in recent years, are more evident than ever”.
