German private sector employment dropped at the sharpest pace since January 2010.
A softer fall in manufacturing staffing levels was offset by the most marked decrease in services jobs for three-and-a-half years, according to Market’s Flash PMI for Germany.
Meanwhile, Markit’s Flash PMI for France shows that job shedding in the French private sector persisted in November. Employment was down for the ninth month in succession, although the latest and manufacturers both signalled weaker decreases in staffing levels.
