More interim managers in the UK are involved in change management than the traditional ‘gap-filling’ assignments, says a survey from interim management provider Russam GMS.
The company’s report of 12,000 interims finds that ‘gap fills’ make up just 13% of total projects, while 19% are change management.Russam chairman Charles Russam says: “Change management has emerged as a new job discipline in interim management.
“Interims are proving popular because they bring specialist expertise that tends not to exist within a company. They are adept at quickly identifying and sorting out problems and can brought in on a short-term basis so they are an affordable option for many businesses.”
