Social network Facebook has told Recruiter it is not commenting on a rumour that it is due to launch a jobs board soon.

The launch later this summer of a possible Facebook jobs board was reported last Friday (6 July) by IT and digital community and news site FINS.The story, which quotes “people familiar with the matter” as its source, also suggested that job posting companies currently working with Facebook will be involved in the new venture, including BranchOut, Jobvite and Work4 Labs.

It adds that Facebook would not initially monetise the service.

Since last October, Facebook has operated a Social Jobs Partnership in collaboration with the US Department of Labor.
