Product launch: JobVidi enters social recruitment marketplace
Fri, 29 Jun 2012
Social recruitment service JobVidi has launched.
The service sees users log in via their LinkedIn profile, with candidates able to search and apply for jobs, and recruiters able to post jobs directly from their LinkedIn or Twitter profile.
The tool also alerts recruiters to matched candidates using automated assessment.
Recruiters are being asked to sign up as of yesterday (28 June) for free, with candidate registration opening next month (20 July) to candidates globally, across nine industries: construction, creative industries, education, oil & gas, financial & professional services, pharmaceutical, real estate, retail and telecommunications.
The founding team consists of James Brookner, whose background is in social network advertising and technology, Vic Daniels, former director of banking and HR recruiter Carr Lyons, Graham Morris of web designers and developers The Media Tank and Nabila Sadiq, former managing director of temporaries at Joslin Rowe, now Randstad Financial & Professional.
Brookner tells Recruiter that there are “lots of recruitment products out there that pay lip service to social media but aren’t actually addressing users’ requirements. Our approach is to take the time to listen to the frustrations of recruiters and jobseekers, and to provide a platform entirely focused on resolving them”.
