There are 199m people worldwide who are interested in working in Brazil, and the vast majority of these would look to be there for a number of years, finds research from Dutch recruitment and labour market communications firm Intelligence Group (IG).

There are 199m people worldwide who are interested in working in Brazil, and the vast majority of these would look to be there for a number of years, finds research from Dutch recruitment and labour market communications firm Intelligence Group (IG).

Of these 199m, half are either living in China or India.Every day this week, recruiter.co.uk will look at some of the factors affecting recruitment and talent mobility in this emerging economy.

IG also finds that of those interested in going to Brazil, 43% would be looking to stay for over five years. A further 32% wanted to be there three to five years, 14% for two years, 6% for a year and just 5% for less than a year.

Overall, a permanent contract was the most popular option for those interested in Brazil. This was signalled as a preference for 76% of respondents, while 51% said they would be happy with a temporary contract of 12 months or longer, 30% with a temporary contract of six to 12 months, 18% for 1 to 6 months and 21% with a flexible contract.
