Recruitment and management solutions firm Omega Resource Group is working with army regiment The Rifles to provide career transition services.
Omega is running a number of workshops to help the infantry regiment’s personnel, known as Riflemen, with CV and career development, and is also looking to place those leaving the forces with clients.
Recently retired Rifles Major of 16 years’ service, Jon Penhale, who works for Omega under the job title forces recruitment specialist, runs the partnership.
Omega is also donating 5% of placement fees under the project to one of The Rifles’ charities, Care for Casualties.
As
recruiter.co.uk reported yesterday, there are differing views as to the effectiveness of
post-forces career prospects for servicemen and women.
Omega has also announced that its turnover for the financial year to March 2012 rose 85% from the previous year to £32m.
It now employs 130 staff worldwide, having recently established an office in Australia to focus on the mining and oil & gas industries.
