Minshall heads HR at McCann Manchester

Advertising agency McCann Manchester has appointed Darren Minshall as people director.

Minshall joins from media production company Lime Pictures, where he was head of HR and will head the department with a focus on talent management and growth over the next 12 months. Minshall says: “Talent will be a key focus for me over the next year as McCann Manchester moves towards a platform which will further set the business up for success. “My role will be to support McCann Manchester in attracting, retaining and developing the best possible talent and clearly establish us as a destination employer.” Sue Little, chief executive of McCann Manchester, says: “Darren will be working to make sure the Agency continues to be in great shape for the future.”

Digital, marketing, communications and media recruiter Ad Lib has appointed Carrie Baldock-Apps as head of digital for the South Coast of England. Baldock-Apps will be located in a new Ad Lib office in Bournemouth serving clients in Dorset and Hampshire areas.

Social care recruiter Cardea has appointed Tony Woollett as head of operations. Woollett was previously an associate director of Beresford Blake Thomas (BBT) and national sales manager for Reliance - both Randstad companies.

Executive search firmCTPartners has appointed Jeremy Robertson as a partner in its global financial services practice. Robertson was previously a partner and co-head of the US hedge fund practice and global head of quantitative finance with financial executive search specialist Rice & Dore.
International recruiter

Kelly Services has appointed Sally Cleary as head of business development for the UK and Ireland. Cleary will be responsible for expanding permanent and temporary divisions in science, engineering, IT and education.

Multi-sector professional staffing firm MorganWhite & Co has appointed Daniel Cohen and Eamonn Haig as executive directors. Cohen will focus on banking operations, while Haig will lead front-office functions.

International creative, digital and marketing recruitment specialist Nakama has appointed Julia Falcone as director of its Melbourne operation. Falcone has more than 10 years’ experience in creative and digital recruitment in Australia and was previously with creative
staffing specialist Aquent.

Welfare to work, training and recruitment services provider Employment Services Holdings (ESH) Group has appointed Colin Birchall as chief executive. ESH’s stable includes Birmingham-based Pertemps People Development Group (PPDG), which was acquired by ESH in September 2008.

IT and telecoms recruiter OCC Recruitment has appointed three new divisional heads. The head of construction is Simon O’Donnell, who covers construction recruitment in civil, rail, build and residential areas. Darren Carter is the head of pharma, covering all areas of pharmaceutical/biotechnology/medical devices and pharmacy recruitment. Craig Husband joins as head of defence & space recruitment, focusing on command and control systems through to secure network design, and providing skilled security-cleared specialists globally and in the space sector.

Independent recruiters’ network TEAM (The Employment Agency Movement) has appointed Phillippa Hart of Hart Recruitment as its new TEAM Midlands director. Hart takes over from previous director, Tony Battersby.

Recruitment and training organisation Positive Outcomes has appointed Yvonne Palmer as associate director. Palmer sold her accountancy recruitment business, Yvonne Palmer Associates, in 2008.

Randstad Managed Services has appointed Eunice Clements-Tweedie as director of operations. She will lead a change management programme as well as improving efficiency, effectiveness and excellence in client programme delivery.

Louise Rayner also joins as commercial director. Rayner will be responsible for heading and implementing the firm’s commercial strategic activities.Specialist sustainability recruiter Acre has appointed Ian Nash as chairman. Nash has held group finance director posts at both Michael Page and Robert Walters.
