Major Players acquires Gemini People

Creative, digital and tech recruiters Major Players has acquired creative, digital and PR recruiter Gemini People for an undisclosed sum.

A statement announcing the sale was released today: “In an ever-changing market where people are at the forefront of every business, we recognise that merging our diverse portfolios of talent is an exciting opportunity for our clients and a way to continue to bring the best people to both brands and agencies.”

Clients of both businesses will continue to work with the same contacts as before, and Gemini People will continue to operate as it does now, the statement went on.

Joanne Lucy is Major Players’ managing director, having joined the company as a manager in 2013. She previously worked for Gemini People as a senior consultant from 2012-13. Francesca Hernandez helms Gemini People as MD. 

Serial recruitment entrepreneur James Caan founded Gemini People. He said: “We are delighted with the transaction with Major Players… We are looking forward to watching Major Players and Gemini People grow unitedly in this ever-changing market and going from strength to strength together.”
