Regus opens its doors for free flexible working over Christmas

Office space provider Regus is opening the doors of its 3,000 workspaces, including 330 in the UK, to enable Brits to skip the annual rush, stay home for longer and work closer to where they want to be this Christmas.

The multinational provider of serviced offices, coworking spaces, business lounges, virtual offices and meeting rooms is encouraging the nation’s workforce to work flexibly by opening its 3,000 centres around the world for a week’s free trial between 16 December and 5 January. The offer will be available nationwide and, for the 3.6m Brits travelling internationally this year, across thousands of other Regus locations globally.

Mark Dixon, CEO at Regus’ parent company IWG, said: “The festive season is a time to spend with loved ones and a lot of people have to travel long distances to enjoy those precious moments. Despite the boom in flexible working, some businesses still expect their employees to work from a central office right up to the holidays. This creates a mad rush, with 30 million Brits expected to hit the roads and railways to get to their family and friends, which can be stressful and expensive.

“We have the biggest network of office spaces in the world, so we thought we’d try and help make it a little less hectic this year by letting people work from a coworking space for free. Of course, not everyone’s job permits them to work flexibly, but our hope is more people can avoid the rush and instead enjoy memorable moments with friends and family this holiday season.”

Those interested in booking the five-day free trial at a Regus should call free on 0808 189 0900.
