Recruiters warned to avoid discriminating against people with dementia

Recruiters have been warned to avoid knowingly participating in discriminatory action against people with dementia in light of new research showing the extent of the UK’s failure to understand the condition.

The warning follows findings from a report released this week from a year-long inquiry by the All Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) on dementia, in which around one-fifth (19%) of people reported that people with dementia are unable to find or stay in work.
