FINANCIALS: Staff development boosts profits for Encore Personnel

Blue-collar recruiter Encore Personnel has seen gross profit climb 17.2% year-on-year, according to 2018 results.

The results, released at the end of March, reveal GP of £10.4m - up from £8.8m and turnover up 11.7% to £72m.

Elaborating on the group’s performance, Encore managing director Greg Latham pointed to a competitive advantage brought about by continued investment in staff development, resulting in a record year for the firm.

“Moving forward in 2019, our future strategy plans will see four new managed services divisions, the expansion of our driving and engineering sectors and the continued growth of our new contact services division. We are also looking to increase our permanent placement revenue by 30% at the end of 2019, by placing more candidates into senior roles.”
