Scouting for new talent - what a laugh!

Recruiters are renowned for spotting talent. But how good would you be at scouting for the next Frankie Boyle or Zoe Lyons?

Comedy site Chortle.co.uk has revealed one of the world’s biggest comedy festivals – Montreal’s Just For Laughs – has posted an advert for an international comedy programmer to be based in the Canadian city.

The new recruit will be charged with scouting comedy talent everywhere beyond North America and putting together the international comics for all the festivals, TV projects and tours the company runs.

However, the successful candidate will need to already have strong relationships with the comedy industry and several years’ experience of programming live comedy. So despite making people crease up down the pub or in the office, you may need a smidge more than that on your CV.
