Get paid to travel and drink gin? It’s a real job – honestly!
Just a few more hours until gin o’clock but would you like to swap the world of recruitment for travelling the world and drinking gin?
The Metro reports gin brand Bombay Sapphire and hospitality firm Inception Group have teamed up to search for a global ambassador, who will get paid to travel the world and drink gin.
The creation of the new role coincides with the launch of a new bar, Mr Fogg’s Society of Exploration, and is inspired by Phileas Fogg’s 80-day trip around the world.
The successful recruit will travel to Mumbai, Hong Kong, Tokyo, San Francisco, New York and Lisbon between August 2018 and November 2018, documenting their journey through posts on social media, and writing a blog about their travels.
They will also be charged with collecting botanicals and inspiration along the way, so upon their return to London they can create their own Around the World cocktail consisting of ingredients from around the globe.
Applicants need to be skilled in photography, writing and social media, as well as having a valid passport, a love of gin, and a strong brand awareness of Mr Fogg’s and Bombay Sapphire.
They will also have to fill out a form and submit a video of themselves explaining why they should land the role ahead of the drawing up of a shortlist of finalists before the successful candidate is chosen by renowned explorer Levison Wood.
