Income boost for Robert Walters fuelled by North American growth

Robert Walters deliver a 33% increase in group net fee income (NFI) in the first quarter of the year.

This is according to a trading update for the quarter ended 31 March 2017, published this morning.

The update reveals NFI from its ‘Other International’ segment, including North America, Brazil, the Middle East and South Africa rose 74% to £4.7m, with strongest growth recorded across North America.

Meanwhile, NFI rose 27% in the UK to £23.9m with a “notable” upturn in financial services recruitment activity in London, alongside good performances in legal recruitment and across the various regions of the UK.

Across the rest of the group NFI also rose – 29% to £31.7m in Asia Pacific and 40% to £18m in Europe.

Commenting on the update group CEO Robert Walters pointed to a positive start to the year, adding: “We remain confident about the Group’s prospects for the full year.”  

The group will publish a trading update for the three months ending 30 June 2017 on 12 July 2017.
