APPOINTMENTS: 12-16 FEBRUARY 2024

• Bristol-based recruitment company Baltimore Consulting has appointed education specialist Athena O’Connor-Lindsey as divisional lead. O’Connor-Lindsey’s role will be to support associate director of education Jordan Groves in running the company’s largest team.

• Talent services specialist Ford and Stanley has promoted Billy Jackson to managing consultant. Jackson joined the company as recruitment consultant in August 2021, before becoming senior consultant and then business manager.

Heidrick & Struggles has appointed Sunny Ackerman as global managing partner, on-demand talent, from today (12 February). In this role, Ackerman will lead on-demand talent solutions across all Heidrick & Struggles globally, which is inclusive of Business Talent Group (BTG) and Atreus. Ackerman served as president of global talent partner Americas of SThree specialising in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM). 

• Social recruitment platform Know Someone has appointed Jamie Durham chief operating officer. Having worked on developing the business alongside CEO Geoff Shepherd, Durham will support the recruitment platform’s growth as more people are encouraged to make connections and recommendations for roles that are promoted through the app.

NRL, a specialist in engineering recruitment and workforce solutions, has promoted Jack Gannon to director. Gannon has helped shape and grow the Heysham, Lancaster recruitment branch for nearly a decade.

• Recruitment specialist Sellick Partnership has promoted Chelsey Saxon as associate director to lead a new team entering the in-house legal market. Saxon was promoted after forming the team which will focus on placing legal professionals into the retail, construction, financial services, energy and utilities sectors. She joined Sellick Partnership in 2012 and has over 12 years’ experience recruiting legal professionals across the UK.

• Business management software company The Access Group has announced three new senior hires to its business. Caroline Fanning has been appointed chief employee success officer, replacing Claire Scott who has retired from the business after more than six years leading the people function. Fanning was previously chief people officer at Avanade.

Mark Billingham has been appointed as chief customer experience officer having previously held the position of managing director for Capita Experience UK. And Carla Matthews joins in a newly created role as director of sustainability. She has more than 15 years’ experience in leading change and embedding sustainability into core operations across technology, professional services and manufacturing sectors.
