Universities minister: Mobile apps the future of career guidance
The minister for universities and science, David Willetts, has suggested mobile phone apps among a number of improvements to the way young people’s career guidance is provided.
Willetts was speaking to the Higher Education Careers Service Unit (HECSU) in its quarterly guide to the graduate labour market, which was launched yesterday.
He adds: “What I think we will see in schools and colleges in the future is analysed and organised data, supported by some form of direct personal communication.”
Willetts adds “we need to do much better” in the field of industry and higher education collaboration.
