Tate rebranding on track

Specialist office recruiter Tate, part of the Impellam Group, officially launched its new office in Hitchin, Herts yesterday.

Following the merger of Carlisle Staffing Group and Corporate Services Group in May 2008, 11 Blue Arrow offices were identified as suitable for rebranding as Tate branches.

Speaking to Recruiter after the launch, Jo Edwards, Tate’s managing director, explained the thinking behind the move.

“All the research indicates that specialist recruitment consultancies are the most market-resilient.Tate is purely office and has a reputation for office, so it makes sense for Tate to be the office brand.”

Edwards said the investment in the rebranding had been substantial.  Each office had a budget of £30,000 to rebrand  as Tate, with additional investment in staff training and technology.

Edwards said the response from clients had been “incredibly good and positive”.

Clients particularly liked Tate’s “watertight guarantees”: 110% refund of the placement fee if a permanent candidate leaves within 110 days, and a 100% refund if a temp doesn’t work out, she said.

The 11 former Blue Arrow branches, which have been operating as Tate since August, are Cambridge, Manchester, Leeds, Finchley, Guildford, Hemel Hempstead, Hitchin, Potters Bar,  Reading, Uxbridge and Welwyn Garden City.  Following the rebranding, Tate now has 27 branches.
