Software goes Solo for contractors

E-Solo is a new software product that helps contract workers and sub-contractors ensure they are compliant with tax and legal requirements.

It could also offer welcome peace of mind for recruitment agencies who take on contracting staff. Simon Fullagar, chief executive of Solo, explained to Recruiter that the software, which is licensed to the contractor, will determine an individual’s IR35 status. “It’s very appealing to agencies as it covers them and the end hirer,” he said.

Solo’s launch coincides with the new tax underpayment penalty regime introduced by HMRC on 1 April.
