SkyBlue's training is safely on track

Philip Wedderburn (pictured on the left) is learning signalling at SkyBlue’s purposebuilt track at Duddeston Rail Branch facility near Birmingham.

After working through SkyBlue for 13 years and completing numerous training programmes, he has progressed from trackman to supervisor.

Julian Wild (right), Carillion rail training consultant, told Recruiter: “The track is right next to the branch, which allows practical experience and is a safe location for training. It’s ideal for the trainees to get practical experience before getting on to a real track.”
