Resolutions don't work!

Ed Percival, business coach

At this time of year, most of the people you know will be wittering on about resolutions.

The problem is they don’t work. All they do is make you feel guilty. That’s because resolutions tend to be set around the things you should do.

My experience of ‘shoulds’ is that they don’t happen. Here’s an approach to creating abundance that will enable you to feel good about it.

Your gratitude fuels your destiny and the abundance you’re creating.

My current belief is that the more you find something to be grateful for, the more of that something manifests. Put it to the test. Make a list of 50 things you are grateful for today. [That’s a lot!]

If this is new, then you’ll notice a little whine as you begin. Just do the best you can.

Keep noticing the small things that make a difference to your life. The smile from the person who made your coffee this morning. That someone who opened a door for you. That it didn’t rain at the weekend. That the boss thanked you for a piece of work. That most of your clothes still fit. That the dentist didn’t hurt this time.

Put it away for a week or so. Then look at it again.

Notice that what you were grateful for has appeared more often with more intensity since you wrote the list.

If you found that works, what could you do to create more abundance in your life?

Gratitude is the fuel of your destiny.
