Public sector: Recession draws recruits
Jobs in the public sector are becoming more popular due to the recession, according to new research.
The research, from England’s Training and Development Agency for Schools (TDA), shows there has been a 40% increase in recruitment enquiries for jobs in teaching, the civil service and the charitable sector.
The survey also showed that applications for jobs in the civil service have increased by 33%.
