Poundland creates 140 new jobs
Retailer Poundland is to create 140 new jobs in Northern Ireland.
The jobs will be at new Poundland stores in Newry, Enniskillen, Dungannon and Bangor, and newly opened stores in Londonderry and Ballymena.
Vacancies range from store managers and assistant store managers to general assistants and warehouse operatives, with the firm’s expansion in the region resulting in the opening of 20 stores by the end of this year.
Tim McDonnell, retail operations director at Poundland, says: “Poundland has been a huge success in Northern Ireland. In fact, it is forecast to be our most successful region in the UK. We are looking to recruit people with the right skills to help us with our expansion.”
Poundland adds that managers and assistant store managers should visit www.poundlandcareers.co.uk for further details, while anyone wishing to join as a store colleague should look for details at their local job centre.
