Leigh Hine has been appointed head of public sport at London-based The Sports Recruitment Company. Hine will help to recruit senior professionals for national, regional and county sports bodies. He will work closely with publicly funded sports organisations including London 2012, national and regional sports bodies, county sports partners and community sports networks. Hine says: "This is a fantastic opportunity to assist clubs and federations in the UK as they drive their organisations forward from a development and commercial perspective. "Sport is now a high-profile business and having the best person in the post can maximise revenue, exposure, and the organisation's ability to make a difference at all levels of sport." Hine previously worked in the company's betting and gaming division. He also has recruitment experience in the leisure, technical and IT sectors in both London and New York.

 

 

Ad Lib, the creative, media and marketing agency, has promoted Lindsay Randall as director. She has been senior consultant for the past two-and-a-half years.

Norman Broadbent's industry and manufacturing practice has selected Adrian Hill as director. Hill has joined from an executive search company.

Paul Buckell has joined Mindpool Consulting as European sales director. Buckell will be responsible for building the firm's change management practice across Europe.

Gary Chaplin (left)has joined the staff of Hitchenor Wakeford as equity director at its Manchester office. Chaplin previously worked for Imprint.

Martin Warner has been appointed head of practice for technology and professional services at search company Cripps Sears & Partners. Nicola Dennes has joined Cripps Sears & Partners' legal team as principal consultant. She will focus on senior appointments within private practice and in-house.

Veritas IT has taken on Colin Raynes, Chris Cameron, Cheryl Hancock and Rob Bizley as account managers. It has also appointed Michaela Morgan and Dave Tainton as resourcers on its delivery team at its Milton Keynes office. Mark Burnham also joins the Veritas IT Milton Keynes office. He will be responsible for scheduling project resources.

Harvey Nash has appointed Carolyn Dhanraj as a senior consultant in the government and public sector practice of its executive search division. She has more than 20 years' experience of local government and the third sector.

Gill Carrick has become the partner responsible for the information, communication and entertainment sector at executive recruiter Odgers Ray & Berndtson. Headhunter Carrick has advised the Department of Culture, Media and Sport, Channel 4 and the BBC.

Robson Taylor has promoted John Watson to branch manager of its Bristol office. Watson has been with the firm for six months as a senior consultant.

4mat, a designer of recruitment websites, has chosen Clare Davidson as interim projects director. She will oversee project delivery to clients.

StepStone, a provider of e-recruitment software and services, has selected Dave Mutton to be marketing director of online business. Mutton will be responsible for the marketing of StepStone's European network of job boards.

Grace Borrelli (left) has joined Christian & Timbers as managing partner of its European technology, media and telecommunications practice. Borrelli has previously worked for Russell Reynolds, Heidrick & Struggles, and most recently Highland Partners. Matthew Andrews (right) has also joined Christian & Timbers, as a partner of its global insurance practice.

A new venture, Manchester Law Society Recruitment, has appointed Fran Eccles-Bech and Chris Blythe as co-managing directors and has also recruited Laura Winn and Mark Fairclough. All four will handle the recruitment of qualified solicitors into law firms in the North-West region.
