GES to double its workforce in Derry with new funding

Derry-based Global Equipment Spares (GES) is to more than double its workforce over the next three years.

Local news site Derry Now reports regional development agency Invest Northern Ireland has offered to contribute £396k to help GES reach the £1.9m required to upgrade its facility and purchase new machinery.

Announcing the investment, Invest NI’s executive director of business & sector development, Jeremy Fitch revealed the 61 new jobs being recruited over the next three years range from manufacturing roles to procurement and sales positions, and will generate £1.3m annually in additional salaries.
