MULTI-SECTOR RECRUITMENT
Right4staff says it has become the first national recruitment company to join the new government-funded initiative, Slivers of Time Working, which targets anyone who has spare hours that they would like to sell to local employers.
The scheme is an online market which allows individuals who need to find work around other commitments in their life to list their precise hours of availability. Employers needing irregular top-up workers can then buy those hours.
Right4staff has initially launched the scheme in Sheffield and later this summer will do the same in Nottingham and Wakefield, with other locations to follow.
Right4staff will be responsible for attracting and inducting candidates to the scheme and placing them with both existing and new clients in addition to handling all the administration.
Jess Watts, managing director at right4staff, says: “There are millions of potential workers in the UK who can only be available for work around other commitments in their life such as childcare, studying, medical issues, existing part-time work or caring for a dependant adult. Many employers would like access to a pool of top-up workers who could be hired by the hour, maybe at very short notice, such as caterers, retailers, logistics suppliers, local authorities and healthcare. We believe this will be a valuable addition to our more traditional recruitment business and one that will benefit clients and candidates alike.”
Buyers in this market already include the London Boroughs of Newham and Tower Hamlets, British Waterways, local charities, educational establishments and housing associations.
