Milkround.com acquired

Graduate recruitment website Milkround.com has been acquired by News International.

The site, which was launched in 1996, is highly rated amongst UK users as a commercial job website.

Les Hinton, executive chairman of News International, says: “Students are an important element of The Times readership, and we believe that this link-up will strengthen our leading position in the student marketplace.”

Milkround.com, it was reported, has also attracted interest from Daily Mail & General Trust and Trinity Mirror.
