Multi-sector recruitment firm MRC International has entered into an alliance with private college Advance CPD to fast-track law students into careers within the legal profession.

Sharp move for ASTUTE

Energy and Utilities recruiters ASTUTE Technical Recruitment has acquired commercial recruitment firm Sharp Recruitment. The integration of Sharp takes the total number of employees to 15.

Servicing Birmingham

Service Birmingham, a partnership between Capita Group and Birmingham City Council, is to manage the Council's contact centre operations. The contract is estimated to be worth £110m over eight years with an initial outlay of £52m over four years.

Jobpartners funding

Talent management firm Jobpartners has announced that it has secured e11m (£8.7m) of European funding. The funding will be used to accelerate Jobpartners' growth in new regions and to help the company develop talent management solutions.

Capita gets OpenSystems

Outsourcing firm Capita Group is to acquire IBS OpenSystems in a cash offer worth £77.7m.
