ClearStar revenue up 11%

ClearStar has seen revenue grow 11% year-on-year, according to a trading update for the six months to 30 June 2018.

The update, released by the technology and service provider to the background check industry this morning, reveals revenue of $9.9m (£7.6m), while the group posted positive earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortisation (EBITDA), compared to a loss in the previous year.

ClearStar CEO Robert Vale attributed the growth in revenue to the onboarding of new direct customers won in 2017- primarily for background screening - the increased adoption of its medical screening services by its channel partner customers, and new contract wins.

Consequently, Vale added that the group is confident of delivering growth in line with market expectations for the year.
