Recruiters advised to get the location right for top talent

Recruiters should focus on matching candidates with not only the right role but also the right location, if data from HR research and advisory firm Gartner is anything to go by.

The data, released in its Global Talent Monitor today, reveals the most compelling reasons for UK jobseekers to take a job are location (53.5%), vacation (43%), work-life balance (41.9%), camaraderie (41.4%) and product or service quality (41.4%). While work-life balance continued to rank highly, it dropped off first position, with location taking top spot as the biggest attraction for potential candidates.

There was a similar picture internationally, with location ranked top (54.3%) and stability and product or service quality in second place (45.7%).
