LinkedIn’s new feature works out new commute for jobseekers

LinkedIn is launching a feature that enables job applicants to see how long their commute to their prospective new job would be.

In a blog post, uploaded to their site last week, the professional network revealed its new feature ‘Your Commute’ would enable applicants to work out their commuting time, whether their commute is on foot, driving or by public transport.

According to the post, applicants visiting job listings on LinkedIn from their mobile phone, will start to see a ‘See Your Commute’ module. From here they will be able to enter their address to calculate how long it would take to get to their new office walking, driving or using public transport. Applicants also have the option to save their location information locally on their phone, so they need not type it in every time they are looking at a role.
