When life throws you lemons and limes, send off a rapping letter

What’s the most innovative job application you’ve ever received? Can it beat a rapping cover letter?

Adnews reports Dallas copywriter Chase Zreet really wanted to work on the Sprite account at ad agency Wieden + Kennedy New York so put himself forward for the role using a rapping video cover letter in which he ‘spits bars’ [a younger journalist on Recruiter reliably informs us this is an actual phrase] about his obsession with Sprite and his own potential for making great ads for it.

And what’s more, Zreet’s efforts worked. He is due to start his new role in April. Bangin’! [That’s enough of the slang – Ed.]
