Postal Museum on the lookout for an Easter Bunny

The Postal Museum is on an Easter hunt for a new recruit of the floppy-eared variety.

In a pun-heavy release, the museum, home of Mail Rail, revealed it is seeking a hardworking bunny to take up a voluntary Easter post, working alongside its voluntary cat.

The Postal Museum Rabbit (PMR) will work from home, keeping an eye on the warren of Post Office railway tunnels – now part of the Mail Rail ride – remotely and enjoy great perks, including the provision of an official hat.

The temporary role lasts for the month of April but if the successful candidate has a particularly good ‘run’, there is the hop-portunity to become an honorary consultant to the Cat and Rabbit Resources Committee at the museum.

To apply, the museum is asking hop-ful candidates to burrow deep, and think about why they would be suited to the role but applicants are advised to be concise and avoid rabbiting on.

To apply, owners must submit a photo of their rabbit to The Postal Museum on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram using @ThePostalMuseum and the hashtag #jobsfurbunnies. Owners can also aid the application process by trying the official PMR uniform hat out for size on their rabbit, by downloading a template from postalmuseum.org. Owners can check out previous employees by searching #jobsfurcats.

Applications close on 3 April 2018, while refurrences not required.
