Gtech shifts some manufacturing back to UK and creates jobs

The UK’s manufacturing sector has been boosted by the creation of 100 new jobs.

The Independent reports vacuum cleaner maker Gtech has announced plans to create more than 100 jobs by shifting some of its manufacturing operations back to the UK.

According to the paper, the firm said part of its production would be moved from China to Worcestershire, with an eye to start manufacturing in the UK next year as the group embarks a global expansion. Gtech plans to move into eight new territories across Asia, the Middle East and Europe over the next 12 months.
