What question should candidates never ask at interview?

Do you know what the top question is candidates should never ask at interview? The big no-no is: “What does your company do?”

This is according to research carried out by independent job board CV-Library, released today, which found 53% of UK workers say candidates should never ask what their prospective employer does.

Other questions put forward by the survey of 1,200 respondents include:

  • How often do you give your employees a pay-rise? (52.9%)
  • Will I have to work long hours? (50.3%)
  • How much will I get paid? (49.8%)
  • Do you offer sick pay? (45.4%)

• Any other questions that would put employers off that you know about? Email us at [email protected] or tweet us below to tell us your thoughts. We will run comments online in a round-up at the end of the week.
