Blenheim Palace looks for apprentices in local schools

An Oxfordshire-based world heritage site, famous for being the birthplace and ancestral home of Sir Winston Churchill, is reaching out to local schools to recruit future talent.

In a statement released today, Blenheim Palace revealed it is launching an apprenticeship scheme offering 10 apprenticeships a year across a variety of roles within the estate’s businesses. Roles include marketing, gardens, maintenance, operations, game and retail, with the aim of having 100 apprentices trained up by 2027.

Apprentices benefit from being assigned their own personal mentor and ‘buddy’, who will be available to provide support, advice and training, while as well as receiving on-the-job paid experience, successful candidates gain additional qualifications through the relevant apprenticeship provider.

Help with CVs, interviews and career choices are also given at the end of the training programme.

Apprenticeships start throughout the year and are open to anyone over the age of 16 who has completed secondary education.
