RPO firm Cielo supports Shawbrook Bank in boosting headcount

Recruitment process outsourcing firm Cielo has secured a five-year deal to boost headcount at Shawbrook Bank.

The recruiter, which has offices in London, Manchester, the US and elsewhere around the globe, will embed its people within the bank’s HR team, as well as offering Shawbrook the use of offsite experts.

Shawbrook Bank, which has 10 offices across the UK, has lent more than £4bn since it was founded in 2011 and currently employs 600 staff. It wishes to boost staff numbers to support the planned growth of offices in Brentwood, Dorking and Glasgow.

Cielo will help the bank hire both permanent and temporary workers.

Shawbrook Bank head of HR service delivery Lee Shaw said: “We have always taken a bold while pragmatic approach to growing our business.

“We identified Cielo as having the specialist understanding and personal commitment to help us make the best hires for our business by working as part of our team, and we are confident that the partnership will allow us to hit our ambitious targets.”

Cielo managing director EMEA & APAC Seb O’Connell added: “We are proud to be partnering with Shawbrook Bank, a great example of a progressive and growing company in the competitive financial services sector, and are delighted to be helping them deliver their impressive plans for growth.

“Our focus on the experience we deliver to each person involved in talent acquisition closely aligns with their own values, and we are excited to be building this long term, strategic relationship.”
