‘Arresting’ Line of Duty TV series used to attract police recruits

A police force is using the critically-acclaimed TV programme Line of Duty to attract candidates to work in its anti-corruption unit.

North Wales Police Twitter account asks “Were you a fan of #LineofDuty? If so,” it continues, “we have the perfect job for you as an Anti-Corruption Unit Investigator”.

A spokesperson for North Wales Police told Recruiter: “Line of Duty was a popular TV programme and lots of people were talking about it, and with the job coming up being in professional standards it seemed like a natural thing to do.”
