• Construction and concession company Eiffage has chosen to deploy enterprise cloud applications provider Workday’s Workday Human Capital Management (HCM) software.

Using the system, Eiffage will have one cloud-based HR system that will aim to help streamline business processes, drive efficiencies, and enable more informed decision-making based on real-time data.

• Redcar-based industry and science staffing specialist Techconsult UK has been appointed sole recruitment supplier by Stockton-based Axiom Engineering Associates.

Techconsult revealed it has already recruited three roles for Axiom this year and is set to recruit several others in the first quarter of 2017. The two companies have been working together since 2013.

• Cambridge-based tech company ThisWay Global has partnered with HireAbility, a provider of smart CV and CV parsing technology. The partnership will provide an artificial intelligence (AI)-powered job vacancy matching service for the recruitment industry.

The partnership sees the firms’ technologies combine to enable CVs in more than 30 languages, as well as professional certifications, licences and other documents, to be both parsed and automatically matched to suitable job vacancies via machine learning.

HireAbility's parsing technology makes human language understandable by computers and is highly compatible with ThisWay's new AI-driven product ‘Match-ic’, which is ‘matching as a service’ for the hiring market.

ThisWay Global also announced it is looking to raise $7m+ (£5.4m+) from international investors experienced in HR tech, software, marketplaces and AI.

The firm says the fundraising has been triggered by “significant” customer demand, following the launch of its platform, GPS4Jobs at SXSW, powered by ThisWay Global’s machine learning algorithm Match-ic.
